Photographing for National Geographic and various magazine and book publishers has taken Wes on many assignments in the U.S.,Canada, Russia, Eastern and Western Europe, the Caribbean and South America ........more than fifty countries on four continents.
During 28 years as Professor of Photographic Arts in the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology, he authored and taught courses in Photography, Publishing, Picture Researching and Electronic Imaging. He spent 1974-75 'exchange' teaching at Nottingham Polytechnic University in England plus a year doing post-graduate research and teaching at the University of Maryland.
He is currently completing work on a picture book about England's oldest rock group: Stonehenge. Work on a new picture book; contemporary 'Artists in Key West' has just begun. Wes authored and published the text; Photography for Visual Communicators , and three mass-audience photography manuals.
Now Professor Emeritus, Wes explores his interests in imaging, communications, education, arts issues and related opportunities in the Florida Keys and the Caribbean Basin.
